Freight Forwarding / Customs

Depending on the terms of the contract, you might be responsible for delivery of equipment to a specific location, supply ocean transportation to a named specific port or delivery of cargo directly to a specific international location. In the above we will use the services of a freight forwarder, customs house broker and international land transport company to satisfy your contractual agreement.
The freight forwarder will be used to prepare export documentation, interface with the customs house broker in the destination country, coordinate activities with the Steamship Company and assist in maintaining the material tracking system.
The Customs House broker will be used to facilitate the clearance of all goods in the destination country. This normally includes the payment of all duties, taxes, VAT, coordination, loading charges etc. Each country varies as to their import requirements.

Export Packing

Protection of your cargo being shipped internationally is very important. Often there are many things to consider when determining the method your equipment will be shipped in. Not only are there normal considerations, but we also have to address what type of commodity is being shipped, what is subject to breaking / bending due to excess handling, where it is going, how ocean transport forces might affect your materials, how long your cargo will remain export packed, the weather conditions in your destination country, if the equipment has to be periodically inspected or tested, etc. Once we understand your needs, we will provide detailed information as to how each type of cargo needs to be protected.
